dry wines

Dry is the term for wines that have been fully fermented; that is, all the sweetness of the grapes or grape juice has been fermented. You can no longer taste any sweetness. This is why dry wines are particularly suitable as food accompaniments. There is no residual sweetness to bother you and the wine can accompany almost any dish without any problems.
However, there are also slightly sweet dishes, and semi-dry or sweet wines are suitable for these. For example, with Asian food, dessert, snacks and aperitifs. These wines can also be combined with many types of cheese.
