The Fries winery actively promotes ecological farming on the steep slopes of the Moselle and receives funding for its services as part of the Rhineland-Palatinate development program “Environmental measures, rural development, agriculture, nutrition” (EULLE) administered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) co-financed by the state and the federal government as part of the joint task “Improving agricultural structure and coastal protection” (GAK):
